The G7, which includes leading countries like Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US, are coming together to talk about something really important: the clothes we wear and how they impact the environment.
They're especially concerned about something called "fast fashion." This is when clothes are made quickly and sold cheaply. Sounds good, right? Well, not really, because this quick and cheap way of making clothes is causing a lot of problems for our planet.
Fast fashion creates pollution, and even worse, it also releases gases that make the Earth warmer.
The G7 countries want to change this. They want to ensure clothes are made in a way that's better for the environment. They will educate companies to use less plastic, less polyester, recycle more, and be aware of how much pollution they make.
They are very aware that if companies keep making clothes the way they do now, it's going to make the Earth get even warmer. And as we know, that's not good for anyone. The good news is the world leaders are getting together and working together to find ways to encourage companies to make clothes that are good for the planet.
Things are finally changing for the better when it comes to making clothing from planet-friendly fabric in an ethical way.
Fortunately for us, we proudly use only planet-friendly fabrics, made to be composted at the end of their lifecycle and as you already know all our garments are ethically made. 😊
